Slash the Defense budget and raise the Education budget.

Created by K.D. on December 14, 2012

What?
-Slash Defense budget for all branches of military; This includes lowering salaries for high-ranking personnel (but keeping the generous benefits low-ranking personnel receive)
-Taking that money and putting it ALL toward the Education budget (in the form of grants, scholarships, other financial aid, and general public school funding)

Why?
You've definitely heard that America is slipping far behind the world (mainly E. Asian countries such as China, Korea, and Japan) regarding education. Children in the East are considered smarter than American children. China is also prospected to lead the world in Economy. See any correlation?
Also, in light of the recent massacres, having a higher defense budget than education isn't a good image. Kids must be properly educated; They're the future.
