Slightly cut funding to the military and increase NASA's budget.

The US military has plenty of funding, but what about NASA? With only about 2% of the US budget going towards NASA there's not much NASA can do. Increase this budget just a little bit and boom things never thought possible could happen. The US military is supossed to protect us right? How can they prepare for a theat they never knew was coming? NASA can provide details about other possible Intelligent Life out in space, but with lack of funding they can't look for these aliens without using most of their budget.
