When I buy a smart phone, not from the carrier, I should have the right if I want to add data plan on it. The carrier cannot compel me add data plan on it. Why should they tell me if you have a smart phone you need data plan or get some cheap phone with out data, even though I am buying phone not through the carriers but from outside. Service providers are already billionaire and we want something that we can afford.
Smart phone does not mean I have to Get DATA. I have the right to Choose no Data Plan
