Social Security should also be applied to incomes above $133,700 so the wealthy pay the same percent as the poor.

No one is talking about the fact that the Social Security tax rate is 6.2 percent on income only under $113,700. Someone making $500,000 is only paying 1.6% Social Security tax. This is a regressive tax. Social Security should also be applied to incomes above $133,700 so the wealthy pay the same percent as those who are the working middle class and working poor.
