The student loan debt crisis is now the largest economic concern in the US. My generation is not able to contribute to economic growth because our income goes directly to the student loan companies. We don't want to be absolved of this debt, we want fair and humane interest rates with manageable payments. Private student loan lenders are able to charge obscene interest rates, and the economy is crumbling under the weight of this debt. For those of us who have made fair efforts to pay our debts but can barely afford food due to 400, 600, 800, 1000 monthly payments need help. Please listen to your citizens, your citizens who only wanted to better themselves and in turn better their country, to get back on their feet and contribute to the economy by buying homes and starting businesses.
