This is a petition to spare by executive order the life of the grizzly bear involved in the 8/7/15 death in Yellowstone National Park and her cubs. Killing this grizzly automatically condemns the cubs to starvation or death by a predator if they cannot be found despite the fact that they could not have been party to the death. The Park Service has stated that even if found the cubs may be killed again despite the fact that they could not have been a party to the death. The policy of killing an animal in the wild when a human is killed serves no purpose other than to provide humans with a false sense of security. It is regrettable that a human life was lost in such a fashion; however, when humans venture into a wild environment they must expect that nature will not play favorites.
