Speak out against Uganda's so-called Anti-Gay Bill and protect the human rights of those who would be unjustly punished.

Created by T.B. on November 15, 2012

This petition is to urge the US government to speak out against Uganda's so-called Anti-Gay Bill, which will pass into law in Uganda this December.

The bill creates a punishment of imprisonment of possibly death for partaking in a same-sex activity. Despite this harsh punishment and the violation of the people's basic rights, this bill has been deemed "a Christmas gift" for the people of Uganda as it will preserve traditional family values.

In addition to the above, this petition is to ensure that the people affected by such hateful legislation will have some level of protection from it and its unjust punishment in the form of an official address or sanctions from the United States.
