To honor and uphold the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution, the Obama Administration must take steps to have the 28th Amendment introduced. This amendment shall mandate that the full intent of the 2nd Amendment be implemented through a literal interpretation of its wording, outlined as follows:
All American citizens who chose to exercise their right to own firearms must serve in a state sponsored and administered militia for as long as they own said firearms and are of sound mind and body. Federal involvement in these militias shall not be allowed.
The intent of said militias is to allow the states to attend to the security needs of their populations as directed by each state government. Each state governor shall serve as Commander in Chief of their state's militia.
