Spearhead a Multinational Cleanup Intervention at the Fukushima Nuclear Plant to Avert a Global Crisis.

This petition attempts to gain action from the White House regarding one of the greatest current threats to our national security, the Fukushima Nuclear disaster. While the current situation is bad, it could get catastrophically worse if another earthquake or tsunami were to hit. This could likely result in a complete meltdown requiring not only the evacuation of Japan, but also the West Coast of the United States, and would rank as the single greatest ecological disaster of all time, creating tragedy on a global scale. The Japanese Government is not itself responding, and instead has yielded all cleanup efforts to the private energy firm TEPCO which are proving to be grossly inadequate. The time to act is now. Please spearhead an International cleanup effort now.
