Our petition is a request for the appointment of a Special Independent Counsel to investigate possible criminal wrongdoing surrounding the attacks in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012 at the United States Consulate and CIA Safe House. The possible criminal wrongdoing could involve members of the State Department, U.S. Military, CIA, FBI, DOJ, civilian government employees in President Obama’s Administration and private contractors.
At a time when the American people's confidence in government has been rapidly eroded by repeated examples of waste, fraud, inaction and professional misconduct by government officials and agencies, even the perception of impropriety and special treatment of certain individuals must be avoided at all costs.
