One of the ways we could help the housing market is allowing government/state employee's become home owners.. Many goverment employee's do not own homes, they have a stable income, but for many reasons like credit (the credit number drops real fast, but it doesn't come up real quick) or downpayment. In this market you could afford to buy a Condo/townhouse, for less then the rent of an apartment. Make it a Union Benefit or because of the goverment pay freeze, help governmen/State employee's own their own.
