Speed up the issuance of benefits to LGBT military members and their spouses as required by the striking down of DOMA.

Created by D.C. on July 31, 2013

The Supreme Court has ruled that the Defense of Marriage Act is unconstitutional and that LGBT military members and their spouses may receive the benefits of their heterosexual counterparts. However, military members are still not receiving these benefits. This petition is calling for tearing off the "red tape" and getting these military men and women their required benefits. Being in the military is financially hard as it is and denying them their benefits one day longer means another day of financial hardship.
