We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Speed the Social Security process for Veterans with disabilities.

Created by M.F. on July 18, 2016

Disabled and Homeless Disabled Veterans are suffering enough without proper VA Healthcare. Speeding up the SSDI process will help them become self sufficient without relying on the food stamp program, which in most cases doesn't cover enough of their monthly food costs. This also impacts their health. We need to treat our Veterans more respectfully. They earned it and they deserve it. Disabled Veterans are not Freeloaders. They and their Doctors need to be more respected in the SSDI process. Veterans with any type of Disability, especially depression, should not have to wait for years to be granted their benefits w/ appeal after appeal.
