We wish for these responsible AR-15 owners to demonstrate to the president, and if possible, instruct him on all aspects of the care and use of an AR-15--to include firing, magazines and their reloading, take-down, cleaning, and ease of component changes. This should include explanation of components such as the barrel break, barrel shroud, foregrip, and adjustable stock.
Mr. Obama should also be encouraged during this session to regularly fire the weapon at paper or clay targets of his choosing for target practice. This will further demonstrate how the weapon functions in-hand.
