According to the Washington post, (and lots of other sources) we spend 20% of our national budget on "Defense and International Security Assistance." At the same time, we spend just 2% on educating our children. I propose that a bill or declaration is made that we must spend at least as much on educating our children as we do trying to kill or assist foreign people. Through education comes peace.
