Since 9/11/01 less than 100 non military Americans have been killed by terrorists yet we have spent over 1 trillion dollars fighting the enemy but in that same time over 7 million Americans have lost their lives to cancer and we have spent less than 50 billion researching this deadly killer.
While funding for the military has exploded funding for disease research has decreased. If cancer was a "radial Islamic extremist" and killing 500,000 Americans each year often painfully we would spend whatever it took to defeat the enemy.
On top of death many Americans have to choose betwen fighting the disease or dying because of lack of insurance and fear of leaving their family in debt.
