Lung cancer sucks and we hope that a technology will one day allow us to safely and accurately screen everyone.
Low dose CT scans are the best screen we have come up with, but rational analysis leads to the conclusion that there are still too many unanswered questions, a potential for harm and a reliance on fear to market expensive medical technology that is simply not ready for prime time.
Please resist the disease lobby and the fear lobby, stay rational and commit more resources to study and research lung cancer so we can obliterate it. We need better screens, not more inadequate and wasteful testing.
