Our country is seriously divided and we stand at a point where the President Elect and the Republican Party can show a true dedication to uniting our country by acting on the antagonistic and divisive delay in confirming Merrick Garland to the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Garland is by all accounts an eminently qualified, non-partisan candidate for the court. One might even say he is a prototypical example of the type of unbiased justice that was envision for our highest court. By acting on his nomination the congress can show all our citizens that the true spirit of America is alive and lead the way towards uniting our country. To do otherwise only confirms that there is no hope of collaboration and the only guiding principle is to take as much as one can when ever one can.
