Split California into two separate states, creating North California and South California.

Currently, California has a whopping 55 electoral votes. This enormous amount of votes can drastically change the outcome of any presidential election. In addition to this, the majority of Californians in the North tend to vote Republican, while South California is much more liberal. If this were to happen, and California would become two states then the U.S.A. would still be able to have a 100 members in the Senate by making Hawaii a U.S. territory instead of a state. Many citizens of California wouldn't even find this to be a bad thing as many of the North Californians feel and act completely different than their Southern counterparts. Finally, this shift would split the vote by giving one half 28 electoral votes, and the other side 27 electoral votes. Thank you!
