I feel very strongly about the splitting of So Cal and Nor Cal because of my father, and myself. My father was born Palo Alto, CA, which is classified as Nor Cal and he recently moved us and our family from Spokane, WA, to Redondo Beach, CA, in the So Cal region. I believe firmly that the two areas are very different in agriculture, lifestyle, and industry. Nearly every Californian I have spoken to, at school and around my home, refers to California as Nor Cal and So Cal already, so most average taxpayers would not complain. There are buildings and stores labelled NorCal, and SoCal, and they are separated when referring to sports teams. There is even varying degrees of prejudice between the two sides. There is no point in there being a, large, divided, state on the verge of cracking
