Split the Food and Drug Administration into two separate agencies.

The Food and Drug Administration has become a monopoly that values money and financial stimulation of the economy over the protection of the health of the nation's people. Recent studies have shown that up to 80% of our food and drink either has sugar or added sugar. It is a tremendous conflict of interest to have the same agency administer treatment for diabetes, obesity and related health problems that itself has caused through decades of oversight and neglect.
I hereby propose that the FDA be divided into two completely separate agencies. The first will administer our nation's food supply and regulation of food items. The second will focus on medications, vaccines, and medical devices.
