Split off the northern portion of Cook Co., IL at approximately IL route 19 to create a new county.

Created by E.H. on February 01, 2014

We want to create a new county off of the northern portion of Cook Co., IL at approximately IL route 19. We want this for many reasons. Having CPS and other schools in the southern section of Cook Co., IL lowers our school rating as a county. In addition, the publicity of the high crime rate that occurs in the southern portions of our county gives our county bad publicity. Also, the high tax rates from the City of Chicago effect us in a great manner. Finally, when bad weather strikes, since our county is very tall, everyone will be notified, for example, of a tornado but most will not even see a cloud. It is very deceiving and it encourages people to not practice proper precautions because they do not know if it will effect them or not.
