Sponsor a law to create safety testing and registration fee system for all firearms/amo except single shot muzzleloaders

We the people believe in the right to bare arms for the purpose of protecting the common good. We also insist steps be taken to help insure the firearms will not be used to destroy the common good. To that end, we recommend a system of annual registration and biannual safety testing. Sliding scale registration fees and sales taxes on gun and ammo sales should be established to support and exceed the costs of this new registration and testing program. The sliding scale should be based on the potential of the gun and ammo to be used in a violent incident. The fees and taxes should be extremely high for weapons/ammo commonly used in violent incidents and the fee should grade down to no fee and no taxes, of any kind, for single shot single shot muzzleloaders and their ammo.
