To sponsor a move to change the United States Constitution to make the term of the President a single 6 year term.

With the ever increasing costs involved with the Presidential elections and the character assassination that has become the normal way of doing business for both of the political parties during the primaries it seems that the best policy would be one that would both limit the costs involved and to keep the character assassinations to a minimum. It would have the added advantage of not taking a sitting President away from office to campaign.
