A threat against any American individual's or group's right to free expression is a threat to the United States and the principles it was founded upon. Recently, hackers have threatened to unleash terrorist attacks against any theater in the U.S. that shows the movie, The Interview. Unfortunately, the movie studio that owns The Interview has given in to the terrorist threats and is refusing to show the film.
It is essential that a message be sent to demonstrate to terrorists that the United States and its people cannot be threatened into abandoning its principles and rights. For this reason, we ask that this administration sponsor a public viewing of The Interview as a demonstration to our enemies that America will not give up its right to free expression in the face of cowardly threats.
