Eliminate current tax system for absolute flat tax for all income. One percentage, say 15%, everyone pays on income, no deductions, no exclusions. If you only make $1,00, you pay $.15 tax. If you make 1 billion, you pay 15%. Eliminate the IRS for a smaller less costly collection system. Social security and pension plans would have been taxed before transfering to accounts, so those payments would be exempt from a second taxation. Social programs will have unlimited funding with very strick penaties for fraud. This system would balance the budget. Actual percentage rate would be debated in congress, and then voted for by the Amercan people. With no special interest to squabble over in the congress and senate, many more important issues could actually be solved.
