Listening to the reports of Syrian children being gassed to death in their sleep is truly heartbreaking. As citizens of the most powerful country in the world we feel compelled to do something to help. However, attacking Syria militarily will have many unintended consequences which could include additional suffering for the civilians living in the war zone.
As an alternative, the United States can act as a beacon of hope in the world and stage an evacuation of trapped Syrian citizens. We ask that we bring together a coalition of the willing to evacuate and find shelter for Syrians who need help during these troubling times.
