Stand behind the US commitment and provide free medical to military retirees and dependents.

Created by C.G. on December 10, 2012

In the 1970s &1980s many people enlisting in the Armed Forces were promised Free Health Care for themselves and their dependents if they enlisted and retired from the military. This was a promise to entice people to enlist during the post-Vietnam era when the country was in the early stages of an all volunteer force. We have seen many changes in our Free Health Care. The retiree now pays for health care, & the cost (premium & co-pays) continues to rise.
Those who enlisted promised to defend our country, our freedom, and our way of life by giving of themselves for 20 or more years. They lived up to their end of the agreement. All we ask is for the Federal Government to live up to their end of the commitment & provide the health care promised. Please support this petition.
