On November 7, 2014, the Michigan Court of Appeals handed down a verdict stating that "the state of Michigan has no obligation to provide a quality education for poor children".
The consequences of this verdict are potentially catastrophic for the future of not only Michigan, but the entire United States & all US Territories. When one state makes a decision such as this, it is not uncommon for other states to follow suit.
This decision condemns the future of children who have parents who do not meet the socioeconomic status considered to be "rich" or at least "not poor".
