Israel is an independent nation and has every right to defend itself (just as we would defend ourselves) from any and all terrorist attacks from the nations surrounding them.
Israel should be under no obligation to compromise with these terrorist nations and the United states of America should stand firmly behind Israel to support them in their efforts at keeping their nation and people safe.
