Stand Strong to Reduce Gun Deaths

Created by C.B. on January 06, 2016

After confronting years of Congressional inaction on the issue, President Barack Obama launched a 10-point executive action plan to stem the tide of gun violence in America.

Guns kill tens of thousands of Americans each year. In fact, more American lives have been lost to guns in America since 1968 than have been killed in all of the country's wars.

The vast majority of Americans support action to prevent mass shootings and other gun violence by promoting universal background checks to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous individuals and improving access to mental health services.

Yet time and time again, Congress has refused to act. If lawmakers won't stand up to save lives, then the President must.
