About 10% of the criminals do 90% of the crimes. Those criminals often flee once they have been caught, released, & ordered to answer for their crime(s), only to continue their crime spree outside of the jurisdictional boundaries of the court that charges them to answer for the crime(s) they commit. Many of these local charges will never be prosecuted due to non-extraditable warrants, leaving the victims and tax payer to clean up their mess. We have technology, video conferencing, video court that could span across state lines at a lower cost than extraditions. Hold them accountable no matter their location-it should cost them not us. Interstate compacts anyone? Flee & get higher fines to not only pay for the issue in the state you left, but to pay the state that now has to deal with you.
