Every half year, Daylight Saving Time is a topic of discussion. We all get to hear the bad puns on TV news for the impending clock change and we all groan as our schedules are forced to adjust.
Started in the late 1800's as a mechanism to eek more waking hours of light, DST once had a place in society and arguments for its existence were valid. Today the argument has weakened and a revisit of this practice is in order.
Our society is moving towards a more perpetual economy where activity and commerce has been unchained from the day. We can now accomplish most things during the night that we once had to rely on daylight for (working, shopping, etc.)
