Each public school county has it's own, seperate, grading system. This makes it difficult for colleges, employers, or even students to compare one students academic abilities from another. If the nation had a single grading system, such as 10 points to each letter grade, weighting of advanced classes, etc. it would take away this confusion and make understanding a student's grades much easier.
