standardize security in all education institutions.

Security that is more in line with that of corporate and government facilities is now a necessity in ALL education institutions. Firearm and weapons control is NOT the answer. Firearms and weapons DO NOT kill people; PEOPLE kill people. Instead, simple measures such as ID badge access to buildings and gated campuses MUST be implemented. These first line defenses are only a start to ehancing the security and protection of our education institutions and more importatntly the students who attend them. Today, in the wake of the Conneticut massacre it is clear that security is virtually non-existent within education institutions.
