Standardize Shower Handles Now

Created by C.A. on February 15, 2013

Every day, millions of Americans will start the morning in an unfamiliar shower. In today's society, form dominates over function and emotional well-being of consumers. As a result, many people will have no idea which direction to turn the shower handle to achieve the desired temperature. There may be no "H" or "C" label; do I turn to the left or right? If there is a label, there is no instruction as to whether the top of the handle or bottom of the handle must point to the desired letter. How much time is wasted every day standing with one's hand under the water, anxiously waiting to find out if the water will ever get warmer? How many people have been mid-shower and feared for their safety should they choose incorrectly? We ask you to please standardize shower handles.
