Cuts to public assistance programs, social security, medical assistance, military pay and benefits, veterans' benefits, state budgets, and raises in critical expenses for the people are NOT going to help ~the people~. What we need is for the people in office, our public servants, to sit back and look at the numbers.
The salaries of our elected officials are grossly disproportionate to their positions . These concerns are echoed all over the nation. No doubt these positions come with great responsibility, but so does that of a soldier, a teacher, and a police officer. We charge you, our servants, to restructure the compensation of the Federal officials to more adequately mirror those of the people they serve, so that the funds may be applied more appropriately to the needs of the people
