The first step in preparation for defense 'sequestration' was an announcement to lay off all temporary government employees, and disapprove extensions on all "Term" employees. These jobs belong to hard-working, smart young people, just beginning to have some civic pride, and hope for "The American Dream". Instead, wouldn't it be better to ask Generals and Senior Executives to retire now? They will still have incomes to spend in the economy. They already have homes paid for, and kids finished with college, and cars and RVs and boats. They've had their shot at the dream. Let's make all the Term and Temp employees permanent, and eliminate some of the waste, fraud, abuse and influence peddling!
