The Secret Service, Capital Police and Department of Homeland Security are the most "militarized" agencies in the United States. If our leaders expect State and Local governments to "demilitarize" themselves, then the federal government needs to lead by example and show us that they are willing to give up their security. After all, if it's not dangerous enough for our sheriff, police and constable officers to need protection, why is it necessary for our president and congressmen to need it?
