This petition is inoder to change the present perceptions about mental illness and substance abuse, the fact that the combination of the two are destorying any American dream. They put the suffer in a state that does not allow him/her to see any other way of living except by self-medicating. This Administration while helping those that already suffer must now direct an new effort at preventing the most vulneralble, the youth of today. It must start at the basic levels of education before prejudices and the human ego sets in and takes away the possibility of some young girl or boy from reaching out when they feel overwhelmed and getting the neccessary help they deserve as to start using sex, drugs or other substances to find some form of relief.
