To start a Firearms safety courses in public schools as a MANDATORY course.

Created by J.L. on June 21, 2013

My Idea is simply this, that in all schools make it mandatory for students to enroll in a firearms safety course. To learn how to safely use firearms and other shooting recreational sports to ensure less deaths, accidental discharges and possibly suicides if youth can learn to be responsible with these tools. The Instructor will either be school appointed NRA certified as well as taking courses equally the same for a substitute or part time teacher with a personal background check of criminal and psychological profile. If safe they will teach their states laws, rules and regulations as well as personal safety and first aid with a completion of an optional target shoot to teach control and prove safe operation. This will be not mandatory for anyone of 2015-16 class year or older.
