The federal government should subsidize professional quality video production equipment for people who are in the lower to lower-middle classes of our socioeconomic structure and who demonstrate competence in the field. Decent video production equipment can cost into the hundreds of thousands of dollars and a promising individual who is unable to afford the equipment can have his or her project sitting idle for years as they search for investors. A very promising solution to this issue is government subsidized or financed equipment that a promising individual can use within a matter of days of initial application.
