This morning (12-14-12) a man walked into an elementary school and opened fire - the exact numbers of the dead aren't in yet. Many of these dead are children. This has become a disturbing trend in the United States and it needs to be stopped. Gun control can't do it - just as our war on drugs has failed to stop the use of dangerous and deadly recreational substances. This petition is asking President Obama for an immediate review of our national mental health systems. The mental health system in the United States is completely broken, needs to be rebuilt, fixed and used to help people with dangerous psychological problems get access to medication, treatment, education and housing. A system of early intervention needs to be put into place and implemented nationwide. Thank you.
