Comprehensive immigration reform likely is best handled by progressing with reform while adhering to principles which are fair, reward hard work, and improve our great nation.
While immigration reform is necessary, there should be some basic principles adhered to for all reform:
• Being a U.S. citizen should mean something.
• The intent of the law needs to be fully considered, not some extreme interpretations penalizing people who responsibly did Immigration the legal way, the right way.
It is an injustice how a law meant to be a 10 year commitment can be interpreted without any regard for the true intention of the law. There is no incentive for the sponsored resident to work or to become a U.S. Citizen. Despite many issues, there is no Statue giving sponsor ability to Rescind.
