For a Nation that calls itself the Greatest Nation in the World, we sure do not make a good first impression, when our guests look out of their taxi window and see trash everywhere.
For a Government that talks so much about environmental issues, it sure doesn't show that it really cares by cutting the programs responsible for cleaning our parks and roads of litter.
Our kids are confused when we ask them to reduce/reuse/recycle in order to save the planet and poor polar bears and show them every day that it is ok to live in a dump full of plastic bottles and what-not.
You wouldn't live in a house full of trash, you find funds and time to clean it. The streets our children play in, and the roads we take every day to work/school/etc. are our home too. Why don't we take care of them?
