Debt is not a personal failing, it’s a national crisis created by the banks with support of the government.
We are calling on the President to create a panel and start an investigation into predatory lending practices that are forcing families into poverty. The panel should create a road out of debt that includes debt cancellation.
Low income and middle class families in the United States who are striving to better themselves through education, recovering from devastating illness or injuries, or working two or three low wage jobs to support a family, have become cash cows for the banking, lending and collections industry.
