Unemployment is scary. The fact that our workforce does not match our economy is getting worse. Everyone is applying for the same job and that’s the reason companies pay so low is because they know that people are willing to take that job for as low as they will pay. That’s why we have a minimum wage, and why people want it raised. The solution is a set of new plans for people to get job-based benefits. There are a ton of high pay jobs that no one is able to fill because they don’t have the required education background.The government should set up a large set of plans of career paths to these jobs that give benefits according to progress towards that job. It assigns training courses. If you don’t get the job you chose within a certain deadline you would get zero help from the government.
