Change the veterans’ administration rules so all claims are activated immediately and any necessary investigation is done after the claim is approved. This will eliminate the backlog and prevent deaths and despair. When veterans were on the battlefield they didn’t say, “Hey, wait a minute. We have a backlog.” There is no excuse for such neglect and abuse except an unwillingness to believe the veterans. So pay, provide, dignify and evaluate later. If claims are found to be invalid cancel then. If claims are justified you're done!
