Dear President Obama,
Our country is divded on an issue with no signs of finding common ground. One group would love to eliminate guns all together while others vow to take their guns to their graves.
What this country needs is education in responsible firearm ownership, not new laws or restrictions. As we have seen from this most recent tragedy, the gun laws in effect now did not stop this from happening. Nor will new laws and or bans.
We are urging you to find this common conclusion, that if guns guns were owned responsibly and locked in a safe, this would not have happened. Please develop a Responsible Gun Ownership Program to inform citizens instead of vilifying and banning weapons.
