Start a random seating set up in Congress to encourage dialogue between the parties

Created by C.G. on May 04, 2013

The current state of partisanship in Congress is damaging and detrimental to the nation at large. Watching 535 people who were given positions in order to aid the people of this country stick with their own party not only philosophically but physically as well, any chance of actual discourse and discussion of the important issues becomes more and more difficult as the "herd" mentality is in effect. I believe that if, with every Senate or House election, those seats and desks were to be vacated and then redistributed randomly among incoming members, such interactions could become possible and improve the discourse needed. A small step, yes, but small steps are what are needed to get this country back on track.
